KERB Berlin brings together the city’s most exciting food concepts at Potsdamer Platz – in a former movie theatre that has been transformed into a place for eating, drinking and real encounters. This new Food Hall, in the heart of the city, is in the former IMAX cinema part of the redeveloped Das Centre am Postdammer Platz (previously Sony Centre). The Food Hall consists of 9 kitchens, 2 bars, 3 café kiosks, one secret bar and the world’s second ever ‘conveyor belt of cheese’ – the first being in KERB’s Seven Dials Food Market. New additions for a KERB food hall are a co-working lounge, roof terrace and cocktail bar. Working with the building's immediate past, the design explores the drama and excitement of the cinema experience from ticket booths to popcorn kiosks and marquee signs, even a visit to the projector room itself.
