Planning consent was granted in early 2025 for a new home in a sensitive tidal location on the West Sussex coast. The proposed site sits within Chichester Harbour, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a site of Special Scientific Interest with a mix of key habitats for waterbirds. A careful and thoughtful design was required to respect this unique and beautiful area balanced with the need to create a family home that would be resilient to changing sea levels in future. The proposals consist of the demolition of the existing detached single two storey dwelling house on the site and the construction of a new replacement dwelling, remodelling of existing garage, outbuilding, alterations to ground levels and associated works.
