The site at 2 Hosier Lane is comprised of a prominent corner office building at the junction of Hoiser Lane and Smithfield Street in Farringdon. The proposal aims to revitalise Hosier Lane providing a striking landmark corner building in the Smithfield’s conservation area involving a complete refurbishment and extension of the existing building providing a superior office. The existing low-quality façades are to be completely removed along with the top floor roof level to accommodate a new quality stone and brick facade and a new 2 storey extension. The development targets a BREEAM Excellent rating retaining existing primary structure, new end of trip cycle facilities, improved thermal envelope and urban greening to terraces.
