123 Judd Street, London, originally constructed as a telephone exchange in the 1950s reimagined to create a 240-room hotel in a key central London location.
A plan of retaining, refurbishing and upgrading of the existing building will enhance 123 Judd Street’s environmental performance and support Camden’s Climate Action plan. The external walls and main structure of the building will be retained with a new set-back roof top extension. A central courtyard will be created as a welcoming, semi-private outdoor space that offers guests and visitors a place to relax and socialise within a garden-like setting. This along with a café will encourage public access and improve permeability of the site. The site sits within Bloomsbury Conservation Area, and the building is designated as a Bloomsbury Positive Building.
