Stiff + Trevillion architect wins prestigious AJ writing prize

News — 21 Nov 2014

James Hogan has been awarded the 2014 AJ Writing Prize for his essay 'For the birds' described by one of the judges as "An erudite and rather cerebral discussion of Lubtekin and Tecton's penguin pool [at London zoo].... eloquently expressed with a touch of humour."

The AJ Writing Prize is a celebration of new architectural criticism and this year called for entries that explored architectural craft and the effect carefully composed man-made spaces can have upon our senses.

James has worked at Stiff + Trevillion since March 2012 and works on restaurant projects at the practice. James was joint winner alongside Sophia Bannert.
