Pavilion Road - an award winning street

News — 13 Nov 2023

Pavilion Road sits behind Sloane Street, and forms a mews of artisanal shops and restaurants, transforming a former traffic rat-run into a lively, local and intimate street with a secret landscaped courtyard at its heart. This project, for Cadogan, completed in 2016 has flourished and grown into a destination shopping street, and became partly pedestrianised after the Covid pandemic.

This year, Pavilion Road has been recognised in two different awards, in July it was voted one the top three streets in Britain following a coronation campaign organised by CREATE STREETS - an organisation that works to create healthy and beautiful places to live and work. Pavilion Road is the only contemporary project in the top three, pipped at the post by the older Vicars Close in Wells and the High Street in Oxford, showing that modern design and architecture can create vibrant new communities with careful planning and working closely with the local community.

Pavilion Road was also a winner at the recent LONDON LIFESTYLE AWARDS LIMITED 2023, named London Lifestyle Street of the Year. Good architecture creates good neighbourhoods where people can live, shop, visit and work.
Bravo Pavilion Road and we are delighted to have been part of the success story.
