Studio Manager

The Studio Manager is responsible for providing a comprehensive level of administrative and organisational support to the Project Manager and is critical to the successful and smooth running of the Practice. It is a varied role, which requires skills to run an effective and efficient front-of-house, undertaking a diversity of tasks as required:


  • Answering phone and transferring calls
  • Distributing incoming mail / parcels as well as arranging outbound post, packages and couriers
  • Responding to phone and email queries and forwarding to colleagues as required
  • Manage the meeting rooms diary (client meetings, team reviews etc.)
  • Supporting with event organisation
  • General office support (calling and booking in suppliers, supporting with office maintenance)
  • Monitoring and ordering stationery, office, and kitchen supplies
  • Keeping a high level of tidiness, cleanliness and appearance around all areas of the office
  • Managing and maintaining printers / photocopiers
  • General jobs and any other activities that are required to keep the office running smoothly
  • Assisting with facilities management
  • Coordinate of ISO:9001 & 14001 process; ensuring compliance and that appropriate standards are maintained.
  • Be a key point of contact for the landlord.
  • Together with the Health and Safety Coordinator, lead the Health and Safety area of the studio, ensuring all relevant legislation and studio policy is complied with and studio staff and visitors are kept safe and secure.
  • HR support to include monitoring holidays and absence records
  • Organise monthly Studio meetings.
  • Organise the in-house filing system.

Skills, Qualifications and Competencies

Management Ability

  • Ability to manage people effectively and efficiently
  • Identify issues or problems at individual and team level and provide pragmatic solutions


  • Highly computer literate, skilled in Microsoft Office, Excel and Adobe Suite applications
  • Excellent presentation skills, both verbally and visually
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Highly organised and efficient with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively, efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated
  • Clear thinker
  • Strong team player who can work in a multi-disciplinary team

Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Candidates should also have a competent level of professional spoken English.
