Highcross Leicester
The High Cross redevelopment at Leicester is notable for the FOA John Lewis Store and Cinema. There were two listed buildings on the site adjacent to this and Hammerson asked Stiff and Trevillion to prepare designs for refurbishment, extension and conversion to restaurant use. The result is a substantial new building that is laterally connected to the late Georgian terrace. The new building respects the proportion and mass of its neighbour and creates a double height dining space to the rear facing the new shopping centre.
