Bramley Road, W10, granted planning consent

News — 08 Nov 2016

Planning consent for a new office building at 136-142 Bramley Road, W10 6SR was granted at last nights Kensington and Chelsea (8.11.16) planning meeting.

Proposals were approved for the provision of a replacement office building and associated landscaping improvements to a triangular-shaped backland site, accessed from Bramley Road, adjacent to the A40 Westway.

The existing buildings comprise a 5-storey podium and block, constructed in the early 1970s. In order to make the existing buildings a practical ongoing concern, and to satisfy the equality act, significant internal alterations, repairs and improvements were required, which made refurbishment and extension options unviable.

The building is designed with an efficient layout and structure to suit the modern office worker. Commercial area has been increased, but massing is regulated by a series of set-backs and terraces, to respect the neighbouring properties and daylight and sunlight requirements.
